General Information:
Animals sponsored through this program remain the property of and on the premises of the Nyíregyháza Zoo at all times.
Adoption is valid for one year and can be renewed annually.
Adoption certificates can only be sent by mail after the transferred amount has been received. (No separate postage fee is charged.)
Information required for adoption:
Name of the adopter(s)
Mailing address
Species of animal to be adopted
(Prior consultation is required: which animal is available for adoption, at what cost, and whether it is currently available at the Animal Park)
Information required for the bank transfer:

Note: Adopter’s name / ADOPTION (e.g., PETER MINTA / ADOPTION)
Please notify us via email once the transfer has been made.

Type 1: Adoption for 15,000 forints
Personalized adoption certificate

Type 2: Adoption for 45,000 forints or more

Adoption plaque: A 20 × 10 cm adoption plaque will be placed at the animal’s enclosure for adopters.
One-time free admission for 2 people on World Animal Day (presentation of the paper or emailed adoption certificate is required for admission)
When adopting polar bear cubs, our Zoo supports Polar Bears International, an organization dedicated to the research and conservation of wild polar bears. Please ask for more information when adopting them!
For corporate adoptions, two options are available:
Tax receipt (for donations; the plaque may not contain advertising)
Advertising contract (display containing advertising)
